Tomily wasn’t beaten far at Carlisle two runs ago but has been disappointing overall for a while. Gowanbuster won twice here last summer but hasn’t raced since November and still looks a shade high in the weights. Good Luck Fox finished last at Carlisle when backed to follow up an earlier success at Thirsk and needs some give in the ground while North Wind has a poor strike-rate and has been racing over 6f. NEVER DARK has been lightly-raced and was just beaten off this mark over course and distance at the start of the month. He ran well at Ayr subsequently and first-time cheekpieces can help him open his account on Turf ahead of the returning Jordan Electrics and three-year-old Denzil's Laughing, who have both run well here before.
