In depth

Verdict

HOPE PROBE was having only his second start on Turf when making all for a comfortable victory at Catterick last week for which he's been raised 7lb. He comes here with a 6lb penalty and can see off recent Kempton winner Kodiac Brown Bear, who has an 8lb rise to overcome and was ridden by a 3lb claimer. Danny Bleu was bought out of a Leicester seller and was engaged in the 2.40 at Redcar yesterday but Dandy's Max has come nowhere near fulfilling the potential he showed in his first two starts last June.
