Hatch has been in fair form at the moment and can continue his upward progression with River Treat and Bessemer providing the most plausible opposition. Robert Cowell's charge has been talked of as a future export to America. A winner on the all-weather and a ready classified stakes winner at the track; it is highly interesting that connections have come here for one final crack. River Treat has ability but has been expensive to follow. He barely stays seven furlongs and was all out to land a maiden at Warwick. Bessemer finished ten lengths behind 2,000 Guineas hope Haafhd in the Washington Singer Stakes last term and looks the pick of the two Johnston runners. Lommel was a long way behind African Dream at Newbury last time out but is dropped significantly in grade here. Hatch looks the one to be with although Bessemer is watched with a view to the future.
