Verdict
A poor contest gets proceedings underway and on closer inspection not many can be given a serious chance of winning but the principals look to be Make My Hay, Awsome Wells and Jim Lad and the tentative vote goes to the last named. The selection was a good second behind Noble Calling in this grade a couple of runs ago. He has since been well beaten in tougher races but with the drop in grade and the ground sure to suit he will be hard to beat. Make My Hay rates the main danger he was a fair sixth behind Technology last time is dropping in grade and with the step up in trip sure to suit he has definite place claims, Awsome Wells is another that could go well but he has been very disappointing of late and his best form is on much softer ground. Of the remainder Pink Harbour is from a yard in form and is worth noting in the market but for the winner we return to Jim Lad.
