This is another tricky race for punters to call but Toni Alcala, Jack Dawson, Riyadh and Clarinch Claymore look the four to concentrate on with a chance taken on the last mentioned. The gelding from the Malcolm Jefferson yard is a course and distance winner who ran a cracker at Nottingham when being caught on the line by Bucks. He is clearly in good heart at present and with Tom Eaves once again taking off a handy 3lbs he is taken to score. Toni Alcala dead-heated with Cosmic Case at Ayr last time and he is another running well at present who will not be far away at the finish. Jack Dawson often travels well in his races but doesn't find a great deal off the bridle so he is opposed in this competitive affair. Riyadh was formerly a useful sort but he has regressed so is not one to place a great deal of faith in. However, he is on a handy mark so if things were to fall right for him he could go well. Gargoyle Girl is the other worth a second look in the market but for the winner we return to Clarinch Claymore.
