This is a wide open handicap in which Parkside Pursuit, Whistler, Roxanne Mill and Kangarilla Road look the ones to concentrate on and the tentative vote is given to Kangarilla Road. The selection defied a poor draw to get within a length of Parkside Pursuit at Ayr last time. The latter has a 6lb penalty for that win and on these revised terms Kangarilla Road is taken to come out on top. Whistler, like Parkside Pursuit, hails from the in-form Milton Bradley yard, and he confirmed his well-being with a good third behind Byo at Haydock last time. He has dropped in the weights since then and with conditions to suit he could go close. Roxanne Mill certainly has the form to win this but she fails to convince with her attitude and for that reason is taken on. Strensall is a course and distance who cannot be entirely ignored, but for the winner we return to Kangarilla Road.
