        Verdict

        CAUSTIC LOVE (NAP) got back to winning ways stepped up to a mile at Ripon but has won over this shorter trips this year at Carlisle. She appears to handle all types of going and is pretty consistent so looks the one to beat in this, despite a 5lb rise. Harvest Day needs to put a poor run at Doncaster behind here but has a chance on earlier form. Gometra Ginty, Pinarella and Firsteen all won their penultimate starts and a case can also be made for Redcar third, Maggies Angel, who drops down a grade, and Beryl The Petal.
