A match on the face of it. Yankee Jamie has been a revelation over chase fences this term and is reverted back to hurdles in order to take advantage of a lower mark. It is worth noting that he was beat off this mark at Catterick and with the ground likely to be a good deal faster than what he has previously encountered, we will give him a miss today. Family Venture is accordingly selected. He looked to relish the step up to three miles at the last meeting and is at least proven over trip and distance. The handicapper has seen fit to rise him 10lbs for that success but he looks a progressive enough type to defy it. Johnston's Art has struggled since rattling up a sequence during the summer months while Lanzlo does not appeal on a gigantic step up in trip. Kinfaun's Lady could be the one to mop up if there are any chinks in the armour of the market fancies. She does enjoy a slight pull at the weights with Family Venture since their last meeting but there is the obvious question mark as to whether she is progressive enough to take full advantage of it.
