    Verdict

Not a strong race by any stretch of the imagination and Nimello is handed the vote to take advantage of a significant ease in grade. A former winner of the Lincoln for Paul Cole in 2001, the selection has struggled with injury in recent times and does not look the force of old. However, he has shown that he retains enough ability on the all-weather this winter to suggest that he should still prove hard to beat at this level. Gold Guest and Smoothie ran respectably last time out and both are capable of reaching a place if putting their best foot forward while Yenaled has been below his best of late but has claims on the pick of his form but Scurra returns from a five-month absence and may need the outing.
