Polyphon can end an exasperating sequence to prevail over Mindanao, Gone Too Far and Jericho III. Polyphon has not done badly this season and deserves a change of luck, so is given the nod. Peter Monteith's charge has been bang in with a chance on each of his last three starts at Perth, Hexham and Ayr, and if he could just find another gear, would have rattled up a sequence by now. Graham Lee knows the horse well by now, and will be holding him up off the pace until delivering his effort at the last. It will be all in the timing, and if he gets it right today, compensation awaits. Mindanao drops back in trip and will find conditions too fast, and has it to do with Gone Too Far on Hexham running anyway, so a bigger danger may be Jericho III who ran well to be second at Sedgefield despite making plenty of mistakes. If he can brush up his jumping then Richard Guest's challenger can give Polyphon most to do.
