Word Gets Round is the pick over Book's Way, with Bergamo and Gargoyle Girl others worth a mention. Word Gets Round had shown progressive form in bumpers, and after making a successful debut over hurdles at Kelso in April, was put over fences at Carlisle on his return to action in October. For one reason or another, he disappointed badly, finishing last of the seven runners, and it is no surprise to see him going over timber again. Time may tell that he just needed the run at Carlisle, and Len Lungo's charge is given the chance to make amends here, with Luke Berridge able to take a useful 8lb off his back. Book's Way gets plenty of weight but has more to do than when second in selling company last time at Fakenham, while Bergamo bombed out at Sedgefield last time and cannot be recommended on that effort. Gargoyle Girl is fit from a spell on the Flat and is dropped in grade so should not be left out of it completely, but Word Gets Round is given the chance to redeem himself and so gets the vote.
