      Verdict

      FLASH CITY came up just short attempting to land a gamble at Haydock four days ago. Ruth Carr's charge can make amends in this less competitive sprint. Perfect Blossom's course and distance win last month looks like a fluke as she's failed to figure in three subsequent starts but Space Artist is not out of this if back to his best. Salvatore Fury beat Jumbo Steps at Carlisle earlier in the month and can figure but Gottcher brings new meaning to the word unpredictable and Noodles Blue Boy was engaged to run at Beverley last night.
