    Verdict

Bonobo is the one with experience and the ex-Irish Kevin Prendergast charge sets the standard on the book, albeit with nothing special about the form. Not that he'd need to be out of the ordinary, were in not for the presence of MAWAQEET. The McCain inmate was backed into favouritism in what looked a decent enough Aintree novice hurdle on debut but clearly needed the experience on the evidence of a relatively uninspiring effort. He'll improve for that and this drop in trip should help too. A useful performer on the level for Sir Michael Stoute, he should have too much class for the top-weight, especially in receipt of 7lb. Cockney Class is a token offering for the bronze medal.
