In depth

Verdict

TERUNTUM STAR looks the one to beat in the opener. He went close to catching an odds-on favourite in better company at York earlier in the month and Kevin Ryan's colt has leading claims on that form. Stablemate Crystal Wish finished closer last time without threatening the winner but a newcomer may prove the biggest danger. Tony Hamilton prefers Signoret, a half-sister to a winner in France, to stable companion Yukos Flyer, while Chances Are can include the speedy Baron's Pit among her winning relatives.
