    Verdict

TIGHT CALL has been very highly tried since winning a three-runner maiden at Hereford in November but he’s acquitted himself well and is the one to beat in this if a fall at Ascot hasn’t dented confidence. Morraman appeared to struggle for pace at Catterick having won over 3m here before that while course and distance runner-up Animore is making only slow progress. Dr Hooves may need the run but Grey Mist has won his last two on the all-weather and should stay this trip.
