In depth

Verdict

Goobinator has won four of his 11 career starts and is a decent handicapper on his day but is up against a fast-improving novice in TOMMY’S OSCAR (NAP). The latter makes his handicap debut and connections obviously think there is a nice prize to be won with him over this trip even though he’ll stay further. Breguet Boy has a first and second to his name over course and distance and, as a four-year-old, gets an 11lb weight-for-age allowance but is still a pound out of the handicap and the long-standing maiden Gemologist will also carry more than her allotted weight. Vision Du Puy has a touch of class but will need to defy a long absence and a big weight.
