Place Above lines up in fair form and and can make the most of the weight that he receives from Gangsters R Us, with Speed Kris and Prince of Slane others worth a mention. Place Above has had his problems in the past but they have been ironed out now, and he does not lack in stamina, having won over 27 furlongs at Sedgefield in November. It was at the Durham track that his hat-trick bid came unstuck three weeks ago when second to Miss Royello, but he did make a couple of mistakes that day, and this relatively easier course and drop back in trip should help Eric Elliot's charge to get back to winning ways. Gangsters R Us is something of a course specialist here, having won three times in all, but he seems to have gone off the boil and will do well to cast off topweight. Speed Kris looked woefully one-paced behind Harrovian here last time, while Prince Of Slane may benefit from the step back up in trip, but is still a maiden. All in all, this appears to be the perfect opportunity for Place Above to get losses back.
