Bayside did nothing wrong last time and can go in again, with Makeabreak, Baby Sister and Double Gem giving him most to do. Although it does not generally pay to follow bumper winners in their follow-up bid, there was a lot to like about Bayside's performance at Catterick last time and he can prove up to the task. Keith Reveley's inmate is very well bred, being related to useful hurdler Hasty Prince, and is bred along similar lines to the Oaks winner Diminuendo, so if all that counts for anything, he should make a name for himself in time. He was patiently ridden by today's pilot James Davies when going in at Catterick, and although the third home, Tous Chez, has let the form down since, there will still be more to come from the selection. Makeabreak has eight lengths to make up on him, while Double Gem has a long break to overcome. Baby Sister was a bit too keen on her return at Newcastle in November, but she was only just beaten on her second career start, here last February so should not be dismissed lightly. Buffy, an encouraging third here in December is another worth a mention, but Bayside has the proven form and can see them all off in the finale.
