In depth

Verdict

MUNTADAB arrives in good form but only beat Be Proud by a short-head here in June and is 5lb worse off. However, he’s improved since and it would be no surprise to see the form confirmed. Danzan and Lion Tower are closely matched on their run together here last month and the former ran well back over 6f at Ripon on Saturday while Grant Tuer’s charge went on to finish second over a mile at Thirsk. Gometra Ginty loves it here but likes to lead so a wide draw could be problematic. Dutch Decoy could also have been better drawn but has a chance at the weights with jockey bookings suggesting he’s preferred to Thunder Of Niagara.
