      Verdict

      Another small but competitive field go to post for this handicap chase and the TEAMtalk selection is Ballystone, he is from a yard in top form. He ran well when switched to hurdles last time out when second behind True North. The nine-year-old is proven on the ground and with Gary Berridge taking off a handy seven pounds he will be hard to beat. Chergan rates the main danger he has been in good form of late. However he ran as if in the handicappers grip when fifth behind Davoski at Ascot last time out. Keiran is also in good form he won well at Newcastle last time when defeating Joe Di Capo, but that was a novice chase and this handicap is a lot more competitive. Clear Dawn won well on his last run last season and he would have a fine chance on that form however he has a 426 day absence to overcome. Just Strong was very disappointing last time out on soft ground. However he is a Strong Gale gelding and this faster ground is sure to suit. Of the remainder Monkey Island could go close he was going well last time out until he made a mistake if his jumping holds up he could go well at a big price in a wide open affair.
