Prunes gets the vote over the likes of Reel Madam, Rich James, Jazz Stick and Elusive Lady. This is a moderate affair, and one that should be well withing the scope of Prunes who has shaped well in two maidens, at Ripon and Brighton so far. It is strange to see her dropped into selling company so quickly, as both the faster ground and step up in trip appear very much in her favour, and surely Sir Mark Prescott could have won a better race with the daughter of Cadeaux Genereux in time. Connections will be disappointed if she does not make a bold bid to open her account here, and she should make them all go. Kevin Ryan normally gets his two-year-olds to improve, so Reel Madam is expected to leave her debut run well behind. She got fractious in the stalls at Leicester, missed the break, and then ran green, so she should give a much better account today. Rich James, Jazz Stick and Elusive Lady all bring more experience with them, but we return to Prunes as the answer.
