In depth

Verdict

Half of this field are course and distance winners including Longroom, who was an easy winner at Catterick in July but disappointed back there when well supported last month. Amazing Alba has completed a double over the track and trip in the last couple of weeks but goes up a grade with a 5lb penalty. Fifteen-times winner Economic Crisis again showed her liking for the track with a fine run here on Sunday and can never be discounted after six victories here though Choosey led for a long way that day on just his third start since November and should now be at his peak. LYONS LANE started her winning run off a mark of 44 and was on 67 when favourite to complete a four-timer at Windsor. She didn't quite get the run of the race there and can return to winning ways. Royal Brave has won five times here and is on his lowest mark since 2014 while Dapper Man is another given a chance by the assessor.
