The market is likely to centre around Stevie Thunder and Always Certain but we are prepared to give Kevin Ryans' Splash The Cash the vote with him now tackling 7 furlongs for the first time on turf. Campaigned over the minimum trip in nurseries, it appeared 6 furlongs might just be on the sharp side on the evidence of his last couple of starts. Stevie Thunder, the winner of a seller over course and distance last season, is theoretically 6lb well in having finished second behind the well handicapped Jaser last time. Back to 7 furlongs, plenty of use is likely to be made of him here and he is likely to be thereabouts. Always Certain has been very disappointing and is likely to trade shorter than he should on the evidence of what he has done, hailing from the Johnson yard. Saying that, his all-weather defeats did come in mudling maidens for which the form could be deceptive. Richard Faheys' Hurstpierpoint is best watched unless the market says otherwise as she is likely to be come into her own over further. Splash The Cash gets the vote, stepped back up to 7 furlongs and the Kevin Ryan yard in fine form.
