Verdict

Tony Martin and AP McCoy are a formidable partnership and Lord Of Tara will be supported to keep up the momentum. Twice runner-up in point-to-points, he could only plug on at one pace when occupying the same spot at Cork last time but his rider will ensure a strong gallop this time and he looks certain to be in the shake-up. The other Irish raider, Mister Nibbles, a winner at Down Royal in June, was undone by a slow pace in a better race back there last month and should be in the mix here while Yes Daddy won on his debut at Market Rasen but couldn't cope with Grade 2 company at Aintree. BRIJOMI QUEEN is the form pick here and gets the vote despite her long absence. She was an impressive winner on her racecourse debut at Kelso in February and the runner-up, Doyly Carte, has won twice over hurdles recently.
