In depth

Verdict

KING BREX hasn't run over fences for over two years but was rated 117 when scoring at Sandown in March 2010 and is 15lb lower here plus Lucy Alexander's claim. He ran well over timber here a month ago and this looks a good opportunity. Donald McCain tries Bhaltair in first-time blinkers after several poor efforts since scoring at Aintree in June. Pickworth has gone up 8lb for winning a weak event at Market Rasen while Exotic Man was having his first start over fences when left in second place in a four-runner event at Wetherby. Dica may have caused a shock when falling at the second last over the C&D in a better race than this last time but connections will hardly be happy that he's been raised 4lb just to rub salt in the wound. Circus Clown has won fresh in the past and could provide the main threat despite his inexperience over fences.
