Distant Sun has been consistent enough, and can prove too good for Sparkling Eyes, Chin Wag, Argentine and Kompete. Distant Sun has been a credit to connections, having won twice and been placed on a number of occasion so far. Granted, he has crept up the weights as a result, but the way that he kept on behind Expensive Art at Catterick last time suggests that there is more success to come from the three-year-old, for whom all ground seems to come alike. Sparkling Eyes has only tried today's trip once, and that is a worry, but Chin Wag is interesting. Claimed out of Karl Burke's stable after scoring at Kempton, he has his first run for Jim Goldie off a mark of 62, and has taken on decent company in the past, so appears well enough treated. Argentine looks a shade high in the weights at present, as does Kompete who has a first-time visor. All in all then, Distant Sun is the percentage call.
