Despite pulling hard and making mistakes, George Ridsdale wasn’t entirely disgraced when third at Wetherby. Burnage Boy found only a useful odds-on favourite too good at the same track but Karasheni was beaten a long way at Sedgefield. This can go to a newcomer with El Picador a likely sort having won on the Flat for Sir Michael Stoute. Balranald was successful on Polytrack in his native France but BULLION BOSS may handle today’s conditions better. Though a maiden on the level, he was placed four times and fitness won’t be an issue.
