Verdict

Chant ended a long losing run with a win at Carlisle last time, beating Jammy Moment a length. But the latter has been well beaten since while Lady Clitico still finished six lengths behind the winner when runner-up at Ayr recently. LOVE MARMALADE posted his best effort since scoring over track and trip in May last year when beaten only a length here on his latest start over 1m6f. Alistair Whillans' charge gets the nod with Nakeeta struggling off his current mark and Spifer looking no nearer winning despite sliding down the weights.
