      Verdict

      ECHO OF LIGHTNING won a higher grade handicap at Beverley last month and most of a 6lb rise is negated by an apprentice's allowance - he should make another bold bid. Kung Hei Fat Choy has a shout after going close at Redcar last time but has yet to win on Turf in 21 attempts while Lendal Bridge is not easily dismissed despite being 5lb higher than when scoring over track and trip early last month. The latter beat Blue Jacket on that occasion while Cyflymder won over a mile here on his penultimate start and went close again on the all-weather last week.
