        Verdict

        FURIANT failed to figure in a tougher conditions race than this at Beverley a fortnight ago. But he had scored over track and trip on his earlier debut and should be in the mix again. In Haste has claims on his victory at Goodwood while Richter Scale may prove best of the fillies after easily winning her maiden at Thirsk three weeks ago. The selection's stablemate First Party made a winning start at Nottingham, with Cool Silk Boy well beaten, and could also go well.
