In depth

Verdict

Bal De Rio is likely to be sent off market leader on the back of two cosy successes on the all-weather at Newcastle. Yet to prove as effective on turf, he has to receive shortlist inclusion in his current rich form with Megan Nicholls booked. Wor Lass has no problems with trip or ground and Rachel Richardson is bookied, whilst Jane Elliott has picked up a good ride for Mark Johnston on The Last Debutante who could prove nicely weighted if able to handle her first attempt at this trip. Gworn and Tapis Libre both returned to form last time but a chance is afforded to GREAT FIGHTER. He has not been at his best for a while but anything close to his best would see him go close off his falling mark and he has frequently gone very well around here in the past.
