Verdict

Corazon Espinado completed a hat-trick when scoring here in April though that was a Class 4 handicap and he's been beaten at that level subsequently. COURT HOUSE completed an all-weather double in January and has only just been touched off in his last two starts, the latest in Listed company at Newmarket. There were only three runners at HQ but he gave supporters of the odds-on Old Persian a fright and can go one better. Poet's Prince won a strong Chelmsford handicap, when Macaque was a long way behind, before a very good second in the lucrative London Gold Cup at Newbury. His stable companion Book of Dreams went up 10lb for easily landing a Musselburgh handicap on heavy going, when Indomeneo floundered on the ground, but has run poorly on quicker going in his two latest starts. Ship Of The Fen has gone up 6lb for landing a lower-grade Doncaster handicap.
