Plantagenet, who is trained in Spain, needed a couple of runs to put him straight here last year before landing a minor handicap. Not A Given, three times a winner in the USA, made a promising start here when close up behind Capital Attraction though he was around 2l behind third-placed SANDAGIYR. Saeed Bin Suroor's charge was in very good form here last year and won a Group 3 from that good yardstick Tamaathul and looks very well treated on that form. Stablemate Kassiano ran a tremendous race on his Dubai debut behind Royal Empire and with that under his belt has to go close while Maritimer came here for the UAE Derby in March and is well-regarded in Canada. Banna Boirche didn't run particularly well here last year but appears to be in better form after a promising run behind Capital Attraction a fortnight ago.
