Having finished runner-up in two Group 2's abroad, Our Channel would have to be the form pick though he ran poorly on Turf here three weeks ago and has his first start on an artificial surface. Nolohay is another making his debut away from Turf and he finished a long way in front of William Haggas' charge and has since run well in a better class handicap. Zain Shamardal acts on any surface though he never got into the action behind Layl here last time but Tinghir did very well for David Lanigan and his new stable had their first Carnival winner on Thursday. Avon Pearl was beaten a long way behind Tha'ir earlier this month and El Estruendoso hasn't got anywhere near last season's form so the vote in a tight handicap goes to OCEAN TEMPEST, who has been running in much better company and led for a long way over an extra furlong last time.
