In depth

Verdict

Champion UAE trainer Ernst Oertel has his horses in top form and Devdas has to be considered after running his best race to date on the surface behind Hazaz two weeks ago. However, the lightly-raced MOODHILL, a Doncaster maiden winner for Charles Hill in July of last year, can turn the tables and take this as that was his first race for Doug Watson after a very long absence. Muhtaram was a couple of lengths behind his stablemate Comicality in the opening maiden here a fortnight ago though that didn't look the strongest of races. Mark To Market ran out of steam on his return to action over 1m1f at Jebel Ali after travelling smoothly for most of the way. That will have put the edge on him and he's a threat while Skycruiser is another who will have benefited from a recent run after a long absence.
