In depth

Verdict

Irish Flame started a short-priced favourite in the race won by Presvis a couple of weeks ago but found the trip much too short and never got into the action. He may not win again until racing over further but this should be ideal for his stablemate RAIHANA, last year's Oaks winner and runner-up in the UAE Derby, who is certain to be better for her run behind Win For Sure two weeks ago. Kingsfort has had very little racing but it was a very pleasing effort to finish a close third to Derbaas over a mile here three weeks ago and it will be a surprise if he's not in the thick of the action. Much better was expected of another Godolphin entry, Sahara Kingdom, when he made his Carnival debut last month as he started a very short-priced favourite but he never got going after a sloppy start. Separate Ways was in good form in Ireland last year and with the experience of a run three weeks ago behind him he could go well at a fair price.
