MONTEROSSO finished fourth in this a year ago before his brilliant victory in the World Cup. He'd won this event on his reappearance the previous year so in the hope that he's cherry-ripe he's given the nod. Breeders' Cup Turf hero Little Mike only ever runs at Grade 1 level these days and won three times at this grade last year though surprisingly he's virtually untested on an artificial surface. The Japan raider Trailblazer was a close fourth to Little Mike in that latter race and he's another with no form away from Turf but Hunter's Light won well on this surface last time and has to be of interest. Kassiano goes from strength to strength but takes on much classier rivals and though Treasure Beach has run in all the best races since landing the Irish Derby in 2011 he hasn't won since landing the Secretariat Stakes that year.
