Mike De Kock won this last year and has two southern hemisphere-bred entries this time. Zahee has twice finished behind his classy stablemate Soft Falling Rain over shorter and Emotif has been a disappointing favourite on both starts here. Saeed Bin Suroor and Mahmood Al Zarooni share the four Godolphin entries with the former responsible for the superbly bred and once-raced Secret Number, a winner at Kempton in October, and I'm Back, who chased home Soft Falling Rain in January but ran poorly when well backed last month. SNOWBOARDER, runner-up in the 2000 Guineas last month with Zahee, Deauville Prince and Fortify behind, looks the one to be on as he continues to make progress though Deauville Prince was having his first start for four months that day and should get closer after a decent effort in a Listed contest last week.
