Laa Baas made a fair start over the track and trip then didn't appear to stay an extra furlong next time. Good Fighter led up to this trip when tackling a mile last month and kept on well when headed so should be difficult to catch though the vote goes to FROZEN OCEAN. He was sent to Newcastle for his debut in November and showed very good speed before run out of it close home. He can do better here but Doug Watson's Cosmo Kramer has only shown moderate ability so far. Higher Limits has a nice pedigree and could prove best of the newcomers.
