In depth

Verdict

A modest handicap which looks wide open. Elkstone has found the winning habit lately, including here, but he’s gone up another 10lb since winning at Stratford. Richard Johnson sticks with Hidden Charmer, despite a modest first run for Christian Williams. Boss Des Mottes steps up in trip but won here last month before finishing second at Sedgefield. My Renaissance also has claims and Mille Nautique has slipped to a lenient mark and was in good form around here a year ago. PINK EYED PEDRO is 11lb better off than when third behind Elkstone at Stratford and bettered than effort when fourth at Worcester. Given his style of running, the ex-pointer may just be suited by another small drop in distance.
