A wide open bumper rounds off the card and as usual in these type of events the market will be very informative but the principals look to be Spitfire Sortie, Mr Shambles and Tully Cross and the tentative vote is given to Spitfire Sortie. The selection was most impressive on his debut before getting bogged down in a better race on heavy ground last time. The return to this faster surface should bring about some improvement and he is taken to score. Mr Shambles rates the main danger on his best form but he did not improve for his debut effort and for that reason he is opposed. Tully Cross is another worthy of respect on his latest third behind Streetshavenoname. He hails from a shrewd Irish yard and should be noted in the market. Of the remainder Red Scally is a well bred type from a yard that can ready a newcomer and could go well but in a race where there market will be very informative for the winner we return to Spitfire Sortie.
