    Verdict

A dual winner over hurdles, SIR NOTE made a winning start over fences at Huntingdon on his return to action. James Eustace's charge hardly put a foot wrong to win by a wide margin and may well shrug off a 12lb rise. Coozan George posted an improved effort when third at Doncaster and is going the right way but Nefyn Bay had been struggling over hurdles last year and didn't fare much better on his chasing bow at Catterick on his reappearance. Lucky Jim faded away in the closing stages over 2m6f on his chasing debut but is not easily written off back over today's shorter trip.
