In depth

Verdict

Focaccia got off the mark at the ninth attempt over hurdles over a shorter trip here earlier in the month. He’s gone up 7lb for that, however, which makes him vulnerable. Acertain Circus ran a nice race on his return to action at Towcester while Generous Day has yet to finish out of the frame in three runs this season, winning at Southwell last month. TYRELL (NAP) won for Alan King at Warwick last season and he’s run better than his form figures would suggest in better company since joining Micky Hammond. Dropped a further 2lb, the four-year-old is starting to look well handicapped. Alexander The Grey is consistent and has place claims again.
