In depth

Verdict

Qulinton, The Vicar and Ouzbeck look the three to concentrate on in this novices hurdle and the vote is given to The Vicar. The selection won in facile fashion last time out when beating Adroit Approach and although having a penalty for that win he again has conditions to suit and looks the one to be on. Qulinton rates the main danger as he won well on his debut when beating Moncada Way but that was on heavy ground so this faster surface has to be a worry. Ouzbeck is another that could go well on his latest fourth behind Punchestowns, this looks easier and he should be watched in the market. Masked Man was a fair third behind Herecomesthetruth last time out but he would be much better off with the selection if this were a handicap. Of the remainder, Laborec pulls to hard for his own good while Commander Kev is held in high regard but has not progressed as expected and for the winner we return to The Vicar.
