Verdict

TASTE THE FEAR, in a good run of form in competitive contests, was arguably unlucky not to be awarded the race on his latest start when badly hampered by Haul Away. He travelled smoothly through the race and the decision to up him 3lb for not winning when interfered with seems severe. Nevertheless, he'll prove a tough nut to crack in his current form and can gain compensation. Giovanni Change ran splendidly at Aintree when a close third to Proschema in a hot hurdle. That's the best recent form but the Newland gelding is preferred in receipt of 9lb. Ask Henry, on a fair mark, is respected alongside recent winners The Distant Lady and Breaking Waves.
