Verdict

Woodenbridge Dream gets a speculative vote over the likes of The Holy Bee, The Vintage Dancer, Civil Gent and Trovaio. This is not a race to put the mortgage on that is for sure, and only the narrowest of votes goes to Woodenbridge Dream who is taken to turn the tables on Civil Gent who beat him at Hexham on what was the gelding's first outing for Robert Gray. Although comfortably held by the winner that day, the revised weights should help him to gain revenge over this slightly longer journey. The Holy Bee needs to jump better than he did in novice company at Worcester, but at least has some scope at the age of seven, while The Vintage Dancer was tiring when falling five out at Uttoxeter and will be more at home with less ground to cover. Trovaio is pretty consistent, and looked one to follow when bolting up at Cartmel in May, but he may not have beaten much and in addition will find conditions here plenty fast enough. The rest are hard to fancy, and we look to Woodenbridge Dream to score a first success for his new yard.
