In depth
Verdict
Whispered Secret showed plenty of promise on his debut and, with his stable remaining in good form he can win here. The main dangers look to be Tickton Flyer, Valeureux, Alrida and Quite Remarkable. The selection, by Selkirk out of a Sadler's Wells mare and a winner on the Flat in Germany, showed plenty of promise on his debut behind a well-regarded runner of Nicky Henderson's, and normal improvement alone should see him competitive here. Although he won over three miles last time, Tickton Flyer is a dual bumper winner here so does not lack for speed. He should go well, as should Valeureux, a good third to King Revo last time as should Alrida, a dual Flat winner for Richard Fahey. Quite Remarkable is another that should be closely monitored in the betting, while Triple Play should maybe be watched with an eye to the future. The same can be said of ten-furlong Ripon winner, Les Arcs, is a stable companion of the selection, while Green 'N' Gold is out of a mare that did well jumping. An interesting race and one in which we like the look of the well-bred Whispered Secret.
