Mendosino could be the one to side with in an unappealing heat but Corrib Eclipse would be worth considering if he attracted support, Stars Delight looks best of the rest. The concern with the selection is the amount that he has risen in the weights for his impressive sequence of form before the turn of the year. He was well held last month at Hereford from his current mark and the form can hardly have said to have worked out. However, he has an extra half mile to cover today and he's run well enough over a trip just shy of this to be given another chance. Corrib Eclipse is entitled to come on for his return at Huntingdon where he was one place and 4 lengths in front of Stars Delight who was also returning from an absence. The former has more to prove than the latter at present but both could easily be involved if finding their best form. We're loathe to dismiss the remainder but their form has more holes in it than a wheel of Swiss cheese so we'll take Mendosino to land the honours.
