If Sangfroid takes his chance here instead of his engagement at Sandown the previous day he has every chance of getting involved but with or without him we like the chances of TREASURY COUNSEL; Stellenbosch should also be involved in the shake-up. The pick returns to hurdling after a solid chase campaign and he does so off the same mark that he carried to victory in similar conditions in his penultimate start in this sphere. He has been competitive under heavier burdens so he should take the beating here. Sangfroid is a frustrating sort who has been running with mostly minor honours to show for his efforts and he should be in the picture again off a fair mark. Stellenbosch has fallen to a competitive looking rating and ran well off it last time but still could be waiting for the handicapper to ease it a little more before being successful again. Smart John, on the other hand, looks weighted to be involved in the prizes but the top spot should go to Treasury Counsel.
