SOIXANTE's style of running suggest he will be happier now he races on a right-handed course and, as such, he has a solid chance of getting off the mark over fences in this weak company. The main dangers appear to be: Idarah, who won a seller over hurdles here last November and is respected on that form, while Iffy also has experience of fences and has shaped as if he can pay his way before too long. A market move for the last named would be noteworthy. Idarah confirmed a liking for Ludlow with a near miss over course and distance 11 days ago. He is not the most reliable of characters but a lack of strength in depth to the rest means he has to be shortlisted at this level. However, Soixante has been unlucky not to have won a race so far and, as Henrietta Knight is sure to have ironed out any creases from his soft fall at Plumpton when he was last seen out, this appears to be a good piece of placement to get a confidence booster into the son of Old Vic.
